We all know a Princess in our lives. I happen to have three. And perhaps have a fourth on the way… we won’t know that until October!
Sweet Tomato Designs has a beautiful kit out called, of course, Princess.
All the wonderful things from little girls can be captured with this kit. I’m sure I will be using it over and over again to help capture those princess moments in my girls lives from them being a baby to gymnastics and probably eventually dance recitals. My girls love pink so this fits so well with a lot of the photos we take.
This kit contains…
5 solid heavily textured papers
9 patterned papers
1 footprint stamp
1 word art
1 diaper pin
2 journal spots
1 single frame cluster
1 4 square stamp frame cluster
1 flair
1 brad
1 tag
2 individual flowers
1 flower cluster
2 button
1 button with ribbon
1 ribbon cluster
2 individual ribbons
1 chrome crown
3 puffy swirls
1 puffy heart
1 chrome heart & gem brad
1 wire heart with beads
1 lace border
1 little tag alpha (lower, numbers, & symbols) in individual pngs and full sheet
To purchase this kit visit Sweet Tomato Designs at Polka Dot Plum’s Shoppe .
Here is a set of pictures of my daughter right after she was born using of course the Princess kit!
I hope to get one of these done for each of my girls and perhaps even a quickpage out there for you to grab with the basics if you are interested. Check back soon for that.
And there are more exciting kits that are out catching up with my scrapbook therapy is one of my priorities in the coming weeks. I’ve gotten behind with all the traveling that we have been doing.
Check back soon for more of my scrapbook therapy.

Cara is hosting a Humpty Dumpty challenge over at Polka Dot Plum, tonight!

Now what is a Humpty Dumpty challege you are asking? It is where Cara takes one of her templates and mixes it all up, for you to fix! Sounds like something my kids would love to try and do.
Of course their idea of fixing and mine are usually two different things. :>O
Hope your having a GREAT day and I can’t wait until next week when Sweet Tomato Designs new kit is released and I can show you some layouts (and hopefully a quick page?) of my beautiful princesses.

My baby girl’s birthday was yesterday. A few friends came over with cake and ice cream just like she would have loved.
She would have been eight years old. Hard to believe in some ways, but in others it is hard to believe it has only been that long. Her two beautiful sisters here kept me smiling but tonight I just had to sit down and put my facebook post down in a scrapbook page. I choose Autumn Bliss created by Sweet Tomato Designs, who I am woefully behind on my CT duties for.
This month has been stressful. The next month brings continued uncertainty and another emotional anniversary. But this is why I started scrapbooking. Therapy. And digital scrapbooking therapy is certainly cheaper than retail therapy! (Not that there is anywhere around here for the latter either!)
If you enjoy the tone of this page, even though the subject matter I know is hard for some, be sure to pick up Cara’s kit here, it is a beautiful colorful kit especially needed with all the white (and cold) we have around here.
I know I’m going to have my moments, especially over the course of the next month. But family is here to support, and God is hanging on to me.

Happy New Year Everyone! I’ve been a little behind on some of my Creative Team duties for Sweet Tomato Designs so here is an announcement…
Cara’s moved to one store so she can focus on designing more, YEAH! As I get my life more in order I’ll have more stuff to play with – that is always good! So make sure to check out her new store that opened today at PolkaDotPlum!
And to give you a little push (like you really need it right?) here is something I created with Cara’s kit Ordinary Moments which you can get at the PolkaDotPlum store 50% off!
I loved creating this and hope (cross my fingers) to be able to create a page where you can replace the date with a picture from that day. There are many different designers and scrapbookers out there doing many different things to try and keep track of what happens in life so you can look back through the whole year.
This is my take on it, and who knows I might just get inspired to do one of these for each month. We will see how it goes.
We have a recovering kid (was sick all night) here today so I haven’t had a chance yet. But maybe later this weekend.
As it is, since I haven’t gotten my yearly Christmas present of my calendar for the fridge this works well for me to at least have an idea of what day it is! :>)
I hope you enjoy and if I get the other idea completed then I will make sure to post an update!
Happy New Year and stay warm everyone.

Well it’s the end of 2009. I never knew starting 2009 what the year would bring, especially continued unemployment. But I know that God is in control. I have to continue to believe that or each day would be very hard to face.
Tonight probably won’t be very exciting by some standards. The usual make/eat dinner, play, read some stories, sing and put the kids to bed. Then either work on the computer or snuggle with my hubby as we watch the new year come in. (Unless we decide to just go to bed and get some much needed sleep!)
A few other things I thought of today…
- 8 years ago we were awaiting the birth of our first daughter and we rang in the new year by painting her nursery.
- 7 years ago we had been through quite the year and things were starting to look brighter.
- 5 years ago we celebrated our last Christmas with Angela Faith.
- 4 years ago Cayli Grace blessed us by coming to ease our broken hearts and remains a joy to us today.
- 2 years ago Lia Hope made me a mom of two busy girls.
- 1 year ago we never knew that unemployment would come, and it would be almost 11 months later and we would still have no idea of what was going to happen next.
Today as I face the new year arriving, I am very aware that I need to take each and every day as it comes. I need to celebrate the little things in life. I need to remember that God will provide. And I need to be open to how he is going to provide the next step. I might just come in a very unexpected way that takes me out of my comfort zone.
Do I still hope and pray we get closer to family? You bet! But like 7 years ago when I was at a day by day state. I think I need to get there again. God can move mountains if I only let him.

I visit a lot, and I do mean a lot, of different scrapbooking blogs over the course of a week. Many like Cathy Zielske have regular giveaways. Well Cathy had one this weekend showing some great prizes, especially the Gallery Wrapped Canvas which I really really want.. asking readers to answer this question for a chance to win.
“To be entered into today’s giveaway, simply leave a comment today, telling me if you’re ready for the holidays, or ready for them to be over, and I will draw a winner on Saturday evening.”
Well I commented like I very regularly do. Being very truthful, I am not ready…

So tonight as I should be heading to bed, I notice Cathy has her winners posted. I click and I have won and I have won the canvas!
So my head is already planning my collage of pictures of our angel in heaven Angela to put together to fit a 20×24 canvas. Our digital camera at the time we had her was only a 2mb so no big pictures that can be blown up. But it will be even better I think. I am so happy and so excited to know that once again in God’s own way he is providing Christmas presents for us that we wouldn’t be able to do otherwise…
Thank you…

Well I have gotten one of my layouts done for Cara’s kits..
Remember her Today kit?
You can buy Today at Faith Sisters or Designs in Digital.
Well when I first saw it, the to-do list caught my eye.
I am a maker of lists… Usually ones that I hardly look at again. I am trying to get better at that because it feels so good to cross things off of my lists!
Anyways… so I saw the to-do and that was pretty easy to fill in once I thought of my real to-do list.
Then I thought of what I actually do every day. You know, the day to day things that you do because real life is there?
I have two kids under 4 so my real life usually gets in the way of what I hope to accomplish each day. But I love my distractions immensly.
And after all they are really what is important. It isn’t going to matter whether I got the laundry done today or not, my children will remember me taking the time to play with them. Especially C. since she seems to have the mind of an elephant!
SO …. here is my layout done with the Today kit.
Here’s to remembering what is really important in life.
Enjoy!

I was just gifted with a copy of the Log Your Memory 2010 book tonight. I have tried on multiple sites to win a copy and have not to my disappointment.
What it is is a way of keeping a journal, yet prompting you to remember things to scrapbook later, and could be a datebook all in one.
And someone (I’m keeping it anonymous because I forgot to ask if could mention it) gifted me with a copy as an early Christmas gift.
I am so thankful for the reminder when I was having a bad day that there are good things that happen, usually when you least expect it.
Another way of God reminding me how important it is to keep up with my scrapbooking and that yes this is supposed to be playing a part in my life even in this difficult time.
We keep hoping that the 10+ months of unemployment will be coming to an end soon. I also keep hoping it is with my husband working and not me so I can stay home with the kids. We will see what God has planned.
Thanks again for my early Christmas gift, and for the reminder that things really are good!
