I have an idea for something to put together to celebrate mother’s day and I’m hoping that this afternoon I might get a chance to play and put it together.

But I just wanted to do a quick post in case anyone is actually looking

May you find a way to give your eggs (stresses, concerns and worries… all the things you are worried about dropping…) and give them to God today. Well I commented like I very regularly do.  Being very truthful, I am not ready…

So tonight as I should be heading to bed, I notice Cathy has her winners posted.  I click and I have won and I have won the canvas!

So my head is already planning my collage of pictures of our angel in heaven Angela to put together to fit a 20×24 canvas.  Our digital camera at the time we had her was only a 2mb so no big pictures that can be blown up.  But it will be even better I think.  I am so happy and so excited to know that once again in God’s own way he is providing Christmas presents for us that we wouldn’t be able to do otherwise…

What it is is a way of keeping a journal, yet prompting you to remember things to scrapbook later, and could be a datebook all in one.

And someone (I’m keeping it anonymous because I forgot to ask if could mention it) gifted me with a copy as an early Christmas gift.

I am so thankful for the reminder when I was having a bad day that there are good things that happen, usually when you least expect it.

Another way of God reminding me how important it is to keep up with my scrapbooking and that yes this is supposed to be playing a part in my life even in this difficult time.

We keep hoping that the 10+ months of unemployment will be coming to an end soon.  I also keep hoping it is with my husband working and not me so I can stay home with the kids.  We will see what God has planned.

2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?

• mittens from my grandma, I used to get them every year.  Miss you grandma.

3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?

• a quilt for my parents and in laws

4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?

• Nothing really sticks out right now… books were always great we never really had the money to buy books so we borrowed them from the library so whenever I received books that I could keep that was extra special.

5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?

• for the 4 year old, anything she sees in the catalogs that come in the mail are things “we have to buy”.  In reality, I think it is a doll for the younger one, crayons and things to color for the older, and more legos for both of them.

6. What is your favorite holiday food?

• dark meat of a turkey (yes I know…) and anything dark chocolate and sweet

7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?

• Anything I can make time for.  After 10 months of unemployment funds are not there for gifts, so I am hoping I have enough ink for my printer and scrapbooking supplies to make gifts for immediate family members.  Some others might just get cards…

8. What is your favorite holiday movie?

• Any of the old christmas classics I watched as a kid, especially the claymation ones.  (I grew up in the 80′s)

9. Favorite holiday song?

• What Child Is This, is my absolute favorite holiday hymn

10. Favorite holiday pastime?

• singing holiday carols.  I love them.

So now I have to get back to what I really need to do today.  My to-do list is long but I just had to get this out of my head and out there so hopefully I can concentrate.

Btw… Anyone have a itouch they want to lend a frazzled mother of two with too many hats that she wears?  I think that will be my big purchase when hubby gets his job.  :>)

Yeah, I’m SOOO EXCITED!!!!  I’ve been chosen to be a CT for Sweet Tomato Designs!  I’m so glad that Cara has given me the chance to do this.  I can’t wait to start playing.

But first things first, I’ve updated my blog, actually figured out how to download the kit to create my CT picture on Sweet Tomato Designs, and actually figured out the way to add blinkies to my blog.

I’ve entered into another CT call request with Sweet Tomato Designs.  We will see if Cara chooses me or not.  I hope so!  You can check out her site here.

I know that Strawbeary Designs is also setting up her CT forum and she accepted me so hopefully soon I will have some fun stuff to share with you from her as well.

I’m looking forward to the challenge of doing CT work.  If nothing else I’ve learned that doing the little CT stuff I have done and the contest that I entered makes sure I sit down and scrapbook.  And you know what?  I need that right now.  God is in control.
